Perhaps one of the most recognised East-Asia treats, the Dumpling.

The origin of the dumpling is a story revolving a Northern China Doctor. Upon returning to his home town during one of the most chilling winters, he noticed that his towns people and loved ones had suffered from extreme frostbite and some had even lost their ears due to the cold. The doctor then filled up dough wrappers with delicious meats and more importantly, medicinal herbs to ease the sickness and heal the body and soul. He cooked up a giant pot of soup and healed the entire village of its cold with this dish.

It is said that the dumpling takes its shape through the ears that were lost to the frostbite. Today, the dumpling has many different fillings and flavors.

Each order contains 30 Dumplings.

Cooking Instructions for boiling:

  1. Add frozen dumplings to a pot with 2/3 boiling water. This will stop the water from boiling
  2. Once the water starts boiling again, add one cup of cold water to the pot.
  3. Repeat step 2 twice for a total of 3 added cups of cold water.
  4. Drain the dumplings and enjoy!

Serving suggestions:

  • If boiling, slightly rinse the dumplings after boiling to remove excess starch to avoid sticking.
  • Enjoy with Chinese black vinegar and optionally some chili oil.
