An authentic bamboo steamer perfect for home use to steam Dim Sum.

The bamboo steamer itself dates back thousands of years and is embedded in Chinese Cooking itself. Interestingly, it does not serve solely as the vessel for Dim Sum but also works as a useful cooking tool for other steaming uses such as fish, meat and vegetables. The bamboo steamer is a versatile tool for Asian cooking and can be utilized for a myriad of different uses. 

The two tiered nature of the Bamboo steamer allows for simultaneous cooking of different foods at the same time. The Steam rises through the entire steamer from top to bottom trapping the steam within the steamer and cooking the food inside With micro holes in the knitting of the bamboo casing, excess steam is allowed to escape leaving little wetness in the steamer from condensation dripping.

Dim Sum Items:

The below video demonstrates the ideal preparation for our Dim sum range. A Bamboo steamer is recommended for this preparation. Use one or two layers for the steamer depending on the number of dim sum.

Char Siu Barbecue Roast Pork 叉燒

1. Add the Packet of Char Siu Barbecue Pork to a Simmering pot of Water.

2. Simmer the packet at medium heat for 20 minutes. (Optional) Open the packet and add the contents to a preheated grill oven and crisp until desirable.

3. (Optional) Baste finished product with Honey
